How does it work?

The Tacx indoor training software offers a wide variety of training options and consists of several platforms. How does it work? All is explained below.

The apps

The software consists of three platforms: the Tacx Training app for smartphones and tablets, the Tacx Desktop app for Windows and Mac computers, and the cloud website. After creating an account you can use both apps and a subscription also offers extra training content for both apps.

Hardware options

Use the Tacx software with a Tacx Smart trainer and connect your heart rate monitor if you wish to track or train based on your heart rate. When you have a Basic trainer, you can also enjoy the benefits of our software with only a speed and cadence or power sensor, like the multifunctional Tacx Uno Smart.

The trainers’ resistance is controlled automatically, it is connected via ANT+ or Bluetooth to your device.

Basic trainer + sensor

Train based on virtual power, an estimation of your actual power. Connect a speed and cadence sensor via ANT+ or Bluetooth to your device.

Heart rate monitor

Connect your heart rate monitor via ANT+ or Bluetooth to the software to train based on heart rate.
