Yorkshire challenge

134,98 km ^ 2807 m 0,3% avg. 25,9% max. 24 hours

Ride 4 cycling videos within 24 hours to be rewarded with a unique challenge item and listed as a Tacx Yorkshire challenge hero! You’ll challenge a total distance of 135 km and climb over 2.800 altimeters, with an average incline of 0,3% and a max. slope of 25,9% on the Buttertubs.

Now that the final Grand Tour of the year is behind us, we’re getting ready for the World Championships! As an official partner of these races, we challenge you to take part in the Yorkshire challenge. Put on you rainbow jersey and test your indoor skills on the most demanding routes through the Yorkshire Dales and Yorkshire Moors.

We start off with a ride in the typical Yorkshire Dales village of Grassington that leads to the incredibly scenic lanes to Deepdale where the classic climb of Fleet Moss awaits you. We then move over to an easy rolling hills ride through Nidderdale. This is a nice warm-up before we continue to Buttertubs! This iconic high road in the Yorkshire Dales winds its way past 20-metre-deep limestone potholes. This will also feature in the 2019 World Championships Road Race route and was also used in the 2014 Tour de France. “I think the Buttertubs climb can now call itself the Alpe d’Huez of Yorkshire,” Christian Prudhomme said. Another climb in our challenge is called Oxnop Scar that starts off terribly steep but has an incredible view descending the other side. We finish it off with a scenic moorland lap that passes the foot of the Yorkshire Moors Rosedale Chimney. You can do this!
